POWERTRAIN
Pairing two high-performance, liquid cooled electric motors with computer assisted power distribution, the Polestar 3 powertrain provides optimal traction and control in all circumstances. Long-range dual motor with Performance Pack: delivers up to 380 kW (517 hp) of power and 910 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 kilometres per in 4.7 seconds, with a range of up to 449 kilometres. Long-range dual motor: delivers up to 360 kW (489 hp) of power and 840 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in 5.0 seconds, with a range of up to 506 kilometres.

PERFORMANCE OR RANGE MODES
Polestar 3 allows the driver to optimize the powertrain for either maximum power or efficiency, by selecting performance mode or range mode. The latter enables more frequent disengagement of the rear motor to go the extra kilometre(s).

ACTIVE AIR SUSPENSION
Replacing conventional dampers, the dual chamber active air suspension enhances handling and comfort by adapting to the car’s movements 500 times a second. The system also provides different settings, such as off-road and loading modes, and automatically lowers the ride height at high speed to optimize aerodynamics.

ALL-WHEEL DRIVE
The advanced electronic all-wheel drive system ensures effective power delivery, regardless of road surface or weather conditions. It can also disconnect the rear motor to extend the real-world range when full power is not required.

STAGGERED WHEEL SET-UP
Increased rear axle stability. Decreased body roll. Polestar 3 features a staggered wheel setup with wider rims and 295 mm tires at the rear, further improving the car’s handling characteristics.

22″ PERFORMANCE WHEELS
The 22-inch Performance wheels are forged instead of cast, using a manufacturing technique rooted in motorsport. Lighter and stronger than conventional alloy wheels and shod with custom-developed Pirelli P Zero tires, they ensure excellent handling and road contact. Available as an upgrade.

BREMBO BRAKES
Standard on every Polestar 3 with the Performance Pack, the high-performance Brembo brakes benefit from decades of competition experience and a long-time collaboration with Polestar. The ventilated discs and four-piston aluminum front calipers offer increased rigidity and quick response at any temperature.

TRUE TORQUE VECTORING
Polestar 3’s computer-controlled torque vectoring system constantly monitors for wheelspin and actively redistributes power to the wheel with more grip. This results in faster acceleration, higher cornering speeds and better traction on slippery surfaces.

OPTIMIZED AIRFLOW
Aerodynamic elements are integrated into the exterior design, working together to enhance handling and efficiency: Front and rear aero wings: direct airflow over the car, reducing pressure build-up and increasing downforce and stability. Rear aero blades: enable smoother air release from the sides to reduce drag. Windows: create a completely flat surface, thanks to the flush side profile and acoustic laminated glass, keeping airflow attached to the body and reducing turbulence and wind noise. Fully flush door handles: increase aerodynamic efficiency by reducing side profile drag and not interfering with airflow. The handles extend when the driver approaches while carrying Polestar 3’s ultrawideband or digital key.

HEADLIGHTS
Minimal design, maximum illumination. The headlights emphasize the clean, aerodynamic exterior, the LED headlights combine minimalist aesthetics with intelligent adaptive technology for a signature expression and an optimized view.

DOOR MIRRORS
Frameless design: More reflection. Less obstruction. The glass-to-edge design allows for a 30% smaller mirror housing that optimizes the driver’s view and contributes to greater aerodynamic efficiency. Electrically adjustable, heated and folding: Safety meets convenience. The mirrors are heated to prevent fogging and powered to ensure precise and effortless adjustment. They fold away when the car is locked, reducing the risk of parking damage. Auto-dimming: All mirrors automatically dim when facing extra-bright lights. This enhances preventive safety and eye comfort, and reduces the risk of being dazzled.

WHEELS
Polestar 3 comes with a selection of precision-engineered alloy wheels that echo the geometric forms of the car itself. Using diamond cutting, 3-axis machining or our patented 3D laser etching technology, each wheel surface gets its own signature look and high-quality finish. MATERIAL INNOVATIONS
Natural fibre composites: Made from European-grown flax; produces a material that’s 40% lower in weight and uses 50% less virgin plastic than the conventional alternative. First used in the Polestar Precept, now being used in the Polestar 3 inner door and storage compartment. Bio-attributed MicroTech: A luxurious new interior material. Its main components are PVC and partly fossil-based plasticizers. The PVC is 100% fossil-free as it is based on bio-naphtha, certified according to a mass balance approach. Recycled polyester is used in the carrier.

RECYCLED MATERIALS
Recycled textiles: Polestar 3’s carpets are made from 100% ECONYL polyamide, derived from discarded fishing nets and other plastic waste. The interior headlining is manufactured using 100% recycled PET. Repurposed aluminum: 80% of the raw material sourced for Polestar 3’s aluminum deco panels comes from post-industrial waste, giving used aluminum a new life as distinctive interior components.

TRACED MATERIALS
Tracing materials is the first step towards achieving more responsible sourcing and production processes. The list of traced materials for Polestar 3 includes leather, wool, cobalt, mica, nickel, lithium, tin, tantalum, tungsten, and gold. Polestar works with blockchain partner Circulor to trace battery-risk minerals such as cobalt, mica, nickel, and lithium.

The optional leather upholstery uses hyde from farms in countries rated as the highest global standard by the Animal Protection Index. Sourced via Bridge of Weir and certified chrome-free.

The wool used for Polestar 3’s interior comes from farms with a progressive approach to land management and animal welfare. The wool’s traceability is certified from origin to the yarn stage of production.
